Bound Of Organized religion
"That whole song is about the band – the procedure of writing this tape, and taking a bit of a leap of faith creatively. The song touches on the by of the ring, and the bullshit that comes with being in 1, but we're at this place now where we're looking to the future, non the by. The past is incredible, only it'south nothing to do with what'southward going on now. We invented the ring, merely we're doing something different that makes us stand up out again from everyone else and gives u.s. a new fresh lease on our musical life."
Over Information technology
"That'southward a song based on our frustration nearly what was going on a couple of years ago with everything. Information technology'south about the frustration of wanting to go through hard times, basically."
Letting You Become
"Again, it is what it says on the tin, actually. Information technology's most what I was going through with my relationship [Matt experienced difficulties in his marriage] and looking dorsum on good times and bad times, and the all-time matter to practise was to just kind of allow everything go and move on with my life, actually."
Not Dead Yet
"There'due south a lot of stuff going on on this tape, which was stuff about me, and stuff that kind of felt quite negative, fifty-fifty though it wasn't trying to exist. There was simply more songs about where I'm at and stuff. And so I wanted to exercise a positive vibes song about not being dead yet, and we've achieved amazing things, and there'southward nonetheless a lot of life left in us nonetheless, in our personal lives and in the band. Creative juices, you know. And so the song is about taking life by the paws and not giving up."
The Very Last Time
"It's kind of a blood brother or sis to Letting Y'all Get. It's about focusing on what's important, and how important it is to move on with life, regardless of how bad things can exist, and taking a shitty situation but trying to turn it around into a positive. Life'due south too short."
Piece Of Me
"It's definitely one of the angriest songs on the tape. Once again, information technology'due south a vocal almost feeling like y'all're beingness taken advantage of. Y'all requite and requite and give, and people accept take take, and this song is like, 'Fuck that, no more than, non gonna happen.' In general, people taking advantage of someone'south good nature, and information technology's just nearly giving time, try, love, affection – whatever you want to say really – and feeling like you lot don't get anything back and they're taking some other piece of y'all. It'southward hard to explain."
Under Over again
"It's one of two super dark songs. It's when my caput wasn't in a skilful place really, and I was merely getting these waves of feeling shit and low. Information technology's a very dark song, merely it's a song I can look back on now and it reminds me of a time where I know I've got the strength, and I'm potent enough to become by."
Gravity
"There are a lot of things in life that ballast you downwardly, that are proficient and positive, and this song is about acknowledging that, embracing it, and taking the bad with the good."
Coma
"It's the blood brother or sis of Under Once more, which is very night. It's about low really, and going through hard times because of shit that's going on in your life, and merely a metaphor for explaining how I felt. I couldn't focus on anything. I didn't feel like I was really living my life anymore. So it'south about that, really, and information technology's quite intense."
Don't Need You
"That'due south some other song about frustration with relationships and about people taking the piss, and trying to explain to people that you don't need them to role – they demand you. And it'south a fleck of a selfish heart finger to people that take advantage of people."
Exhale Underwater
"It'due south a love song near telling someone to sympathise that information technology takes two to tango, and basically accepting your own flaws and not blaming other people for bad situations, and taking responsibility for things you're ultimately responsible for."
